COVID19 TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Our number one priority is your health, safety and well-being and as such, we have revised our Terms and Conditions/Site Rules in line with current Government Guidance.

We ask that you please take time to read the revised terms, found below and also on our website www.westharristrust.org, prior to your arrival. Should you decide not to proceed with your booking having read the terms, we will of course issue a full refund. If we do not receive a response, we will assume that the terms are acceptable to you and look forward to welcoming you in the near future.

If you have any questions about our terms, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

    Thank you!

    • In accordance with current Scottish Government guidance, our sites will reopen from Thursday 29th April 2021.
    • Toilet and shower facilities will be open and cleaned daily by our staff. Guests are asked to sanitise the area between uses, using the sanitiser available, following the instructions on the product label.
    • Fresh water, grey water, chemical toilet disposal (please note there is no chemical toilet disposal at the Seilebost School site. Guests will be provided with access details for the Talla na Mara site, located approximately 2 miles further south) and refuse bin facilities will be available.
    • We ask all guests to adhere to Government Guidelines in relation to social distancing and hygiene, and have included signage and provided hand washing / sanitising facilities at various points on site. At this time, you must not invite/welcome guests out with your own group on to your pitch. Anyone found to be breaching the site’s Covid19 procedures will be asked to leave the site.
    • The current Scottish Government has issued advice to all travellers coming to the Western Isles.

“To reduce the risk of coronavirus being brought into island communities by people who are unaware they are infectious, we are encouraging anyone planning to travel to a Scottish island to test before they do so.  You can order rapid lateral flow tests (Coronavirus (COVID-19): getting tested in Scotland – gov.scot (www.gov.scot)) for delivery to your home anywhere in the UK and they should arrive within 24-48 hours.  We recommend that you test three days before you plan to travel and then again on the day of departure.  If you are positive, this would allow you to self-isolate before you begin your journey.

Please note that if your test result is negative, this is not a guarantee that you do not have coronavirus.  You must continue to follow national and local restrictions, including FACTS guidance.  If you develop coronavirus symptoms you must self-isolate and book a PCR test.

This is a voluntary scheme and you will not need evidence of a negative test to travel to a Scottish island.  However, we would encourage you to participate in order to reduce the risk that you inadvertently carry coronavirus into one of our island communities.”

    • If you are displaying any symptoms of Covid19, please contact us and postpone your stay. Anyone displaying symptoms of Covid19 will not be permitted on site. Symptoms can include a high temperature, a new and persistent cough and loss of taste and smell.  Find out more https://www.nhsinform.scot/illnesses-andconditions/infections-and-poisoning/coronavirus-covid-19
    • In the unlikely event that you or one of your party develop symptoms of Covid19 and Government guidance or regulation prevents you from travelling home as planned, we will permit you to extend your stay for the period of isolation required by the Government at the same nightly rate as you paid in your original booking. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/self-isolation-and-treatment/when-to-self-isolate-and-what-to-do/
    • We may need to cancel your booking at short notice due to Covid19 (e.g. for an outbreak on the island , return to lockdown, or the guests before you having to self-isolate). In such cases, our liability to you will be limited to returning all monies received by us for your booking (or moving your booking plus money paid to another suitable date).
    • Children must remain within the pitch area unless accompanied by an adult.
    • Full payment will be taken at time of booking. All further payments will be contactless.
    • Providing full booking details and advance payment should mean you do not need to enter reception on arrival.
    • Contact Details: For the health and safety of our customers and staff, we are recording the name and contact details of the person making the booking to support NHS Scotland’s Test and Protect. If required, this information will be used to enable NHS Scotland to contact you should you have been in the premises around the same time as someone who has tested positive for coronavirus. Contacting people who might have been exposed to the virus is an important step in stopping the spread.
    • Reasons for Data Collection: As stated above, the purpose for which we are processing your personal data is to assist with NHS Scotland’s Test and Protect strategy in relation to the coronavirus public health epidemic. This will involve the gathering and, when necessary, the sharing of information with NHS Scotland as the responsible body for Test and Protect. Your data will not be used for any other purpose.
    • In order to assist in the containment of the virus, we will only share your data when it is requested directly by NHS Scotland.  This will only be in the unlikely event there is a cluster of coronavirus cases linked to the venue. Information will be transferred securely to NHS National Services Scotland who will use the data to contact trace those who were in the establishment at the same time as the positive case, and will provide guidance and support to those who may be advised to self-isolate.

Read further information on the NHS Scotland Test and Protect strategy on the NHS website.

    • Guidelines and restrictions are changing, sometimes daily, so please check the Scottish Government website and NHS Inform for all the current information about Covid19, any related restrictions, what symptoms to be aware of and what to do in the event that you need to self-isolate.

    https://www.gov.scot/coronavirus-covid-19/

These terms and conditions are subject to change in accordance with further guidance from the Scottish Government and local authority.
