Hours:                                   37.5 hours per week
Salary:                                 £28,000 per annum plus 6% employers’ pension contribution

Job Purpose

The West Harris Trust (WHT) is seeking to recruit an energetic and self-motivated individual with strong management and organisational skills to drive forward ambitious developments as identified in the WHT Strategic Plan 2022-26, which aims to develop a demographically balanced and economically active community.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The main duties and responsibilities are detailed below.

  • Undertake extensive community consultation, ensuring that the project is representative of community views and ambitions.
  • Through community engagement and consultation with local groups, businesses and other stakeholders, devise a project strategy to realise our ambitions and vision.
  • Liaise with relevant agencies and professionals to support the delivery of project outcomes.
  • Produce feasibility studies, business plans and other documents as necessary.
  • Identify funding sources for agreed projects and complete funding applications.
  • Oversee project delivery, including awarding of contracts and budget management.
  • Any other task to further the aims and objectives of the project.
