I am from the Isle of Lewis originally, but have worked in Harris since 1981. We acquired a croft in Luskentyre in 1989 where we have lived since then.

Since 2010 I think the most significant developments are those around Nisabost, in particular affordable housing, allowing the population to increase significantly over the decade. Especially the increase in children growing up in the area compared to pre-buyout when the number of pre-school children had dwindled to one.

Within the next five years, I would like to see more young families being able to move or return to the area
